"It is the mission and goal of school psychologists to ensure that schools are responsive to the psychological needs of students and to help California's children and youth attain intellectual, social, and personal competence.
The mission and goal of the California Association of School Psychologists (CASP) is to secure and sustain programs that support the profession of school psychology by providing for the educational and professional needs of school psychologists, advancing public awareness about the contributions of school psychologists, and enabling individual school psychologists to function effectively in the schools and communities in which they serve."

Early Registration Deadline Near Register for Conference Before Fees Increase

March 2 is the early registration deadline for CASP Spring Conference 2012. After that date, fees go up for the March 22 and 23 event at the Orange County Hilton in Costa Mesa.

Get those registrations in today for the only statewide gathering of California school psychologists scheduled for this school year. Remember, this event features opportunities for LEPs, LCSWs, MFTs and LPCCs, and NCSPs to collect the continuing education and continuing professional development hours needed to stay current with licenses and certification. When signing up for the three-hour workshops, be sure to place your license number (if BBS) and/or “NCSP” in the designated area and your certificate will be ready for you to pick up at the end of the workshop.

2012-2013 Student Leader Elections

CASP is looking to elect new student leaders for 2012-13 year! The Student Leadership Council will need to fill the positions for President, as well as two representatives from Northern California and Southern California.

Nominees must be at least a second year student in good standing at an accredited university and your nomination for office must have the endorsement of a university facility member.
